Sustainability Embassy in Romania

We are The Sustainability Embassy in Romania, an NGO with a clear mission: to promote and accelerate sustainable development in our country.

We encourage citizens to choose responsible products and supports companies in offering eco-friendly, healthy, and affordable goods and services.

We know that our mission will be completed when:

People make thoughtful and responsible choices about what they consume, thinking about how it might affect life in the medium run;
Companies see the long-term benefits of the sustainable business model and by means of their products and services, contribute to solving social and environmental problems without sacrificing economic efficiency and profitability.

Also, we proudly lead the Sustainable Romania Coalition, the first non-political platform for advancing sustainable development in Romania. Recognized by the Romanian Government as official consultation and dialogue partner on sustainability topics, the Coalition brings together 160+ organizations - NGOs and companies active in 27 industries - representing a workforce of +100,000 people. The Coalition is also part of the monitoring and action plan framework of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of Romania.
